Brian Snyders, DO

Specializing In:

  • Pediatrics
  • Surgical Services


Dr. Snyders graduated from Des Moines University in 2003 and completed his residency in 2006 and opened Prairie Family Medicine in July of 2007.  Dr. Snyders is board certified and specializes in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. He is passionate about caring for children living with cancer and those with special needs.  

William Sammond, MD 

Specializing In:

  • General Medicine

 

Dr. Sammond is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, with over 37 years of practice.  He will provide General Medicine care to adult patients over the age of 16.  Dr. Sammond joins Prairie Family Medicine, carrying a particular passion for delivering excellent patient care.  In his free time, Dr. Sammond enjoys oil painting, golfing, and reading.  He is now accepting Monday and Wednesday appointments.

 

Jan Nelson, NP-C, ABAAHP (American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners)

Specializing In:

  • Nurse Practitioner/Hormone Specialist

Jan attended Idaho State University where she graduated from the MSN program as Family Nurse Practitioner in 2008.  She later attended the American Academy of Anti-Aging Regenerative Medicine where she earned specialized training in thyroid, hormone, and gut health.  Jan joined PFM in 2016 and specializes in bio-identical hormone supplementation through various methods including pellet implantation and thyroid health for both men and women over the age of 16.

Holly Peña, ARNP

Specializing In:

  • Family Medicine


Holly Peña, ARNP graduated from Gonzaga University in 2004. She is board-certified in Family Practice. Holly performed as an RN for 23 years prior to earning her master's degree. In addition to family medicine, Holly has also practiced in urgent care, endocrinology, oncology, and gastroenterology. Holly is accepting new patients.

Doug Duncan, PA-C

Specializing In:

  • Family Practice

Doug attended the University of Oklahoma’s Physician Assistant Program where he earned a Bachelor of Science with Distinction as Physician Associate in 1994.  He served in the Armed Forces as a Physician Assistant from until 2008 when he entered the civilian healthcare community.  Doug joined PFM in 2012 and specializes in primary care.

Rachel Pierson, PA-C

Specializing In:

  • Pediatrics

Rachel is a board-certified physician's assistant and specializes in pediatrics and adolescent medicine.  We are delighted to announce that she has chosen to be a part of our Prairie Family Medicine family.  She is now accepting new patients.

 

Kate Reidy, FNP-C

Specializing In:

  • Family Medicine

Kate Reidy, FNP-C is board-certified in Family Practice. She attended the University of Chicago for her undergraduate degree and then obtained her MSN from the Vanderbilt School of Nursing. Prior to nursing, Kate pursued a passion for public health and studied at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where she received a Master of Science in Controlling Infectious Diseases. Kate uses her background in nursing and infectious diseases to be the main provider at our Curbside Clinic during the Covid-19 pandemic. She is now also accepting new patients inside the clinic.

Janet Gourley, DNP, NP

  • Mental and Behavioral Health


Dr. Janet Gourley is board certified in Geriatric and Adult Psychiatric Services (including medication management). Dr. Gourley specializes in bi-polar disorder, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and more. 

Peter Gourley, ARNP

Specializing In:

  • Pediatric Mental and Behavioral Health


Peter is board certified Adolescent and Pediatric Psychiatric services (specializing in medication management). He understands the unique stressors that the young adults of today experience. Peter combines this understanding with a rich knowledge of medications specific to mental behavioral health conditions. His personal approach and years of experience foster an environment in which young adults see results and feel relief.

Tyson Thorpe, PA-C

Specializing In:

  • Mental and Behavioral Health

Tyson graduated from Alderson Broaddus University PA Program in 2014 and then began working at Colorado Psychiatry Center. There, he received specialty training in treating children and adolescence but also saw adults. He especially enjoys working with the younger crowd but will be seeing all ages. Most recently employed at Heritage Health, he worked primarily with adults managing more acute mental illnesses. Tyson has training and experience in treating ADHD, anxiety, autism, bipolar, borderline, depression, and schizophrenia.
